The Response of the Amnion of Reserpinized Chiefs to 5-Hydroxytryptamine and Epinephrine

Abstract
|
|
|
The author studied the action of 5-ET and epinephrine on the amnion of reserpinized chicks and
obtained the following results:
1. The motility of the amnion from normal and reserpinized chicks was stimulated by 5-HT to the same degree.
2. The motility of the amnion from normal and reserpinized chicks was inhibited by epinephrine. In intensity of the inhibitory action of epinephrine, there was no marked difference between the two kinds of amnion.
